2022 Remarkable Futures Scholarships:
WHAT TO KNOW
Beginning Friday, Aug. 20, Operators and Team Members will have access to the 2022 Remarkable Futures Scholarship application as well as toolkits containing important dates, eligibility information, frequently asked questions and more.
Once available, the applications for scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year will open for Team Members at cfa.scholarsapply.org and chick-fil-a.com/scholarships. Applications will be open until Oct. 28, but Operators will have until Nov. 11 to submit recommendations.
Because of an increase in funding for the 2022 award year, the Leadership Scholarship will be offered at two levels - $1,000 and $2,500 – in addition to the $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarship. The extra funding and the new $1,000 Leadership Scholarship will allow an increase to the percentage of scholarship recipients from 52% to nearly 80%. Team Members can fill out a single application to be considered for any of the scholarship amounts.
In 2021, Chick-fil-A awarded scholarships to 7,492 Team Members in 44 states, Washington D.C. and Canada, with 385 scholarships attributed to Chick-fil-A bottled sauce sales. Chick-fil-A also hit a big milestone in 2021: over $100 million in scholarships have been awarded since the program began in 1970. Among the winners were 12 Team Members who received $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarships, along with laptops to use as they continue their studies.
HOW TO APPLY
The scholarship application will be available online beginning Aug. 20. It will close Oct. 28 with no extensions. Team Members should start their application early to allow enough time to complete the forms and gather transcripts.
Team Members are considered eligible for both scholarships if they are currently and will be employed at a Chick-fil-A® restaurant when scholarships are awarded in April 2022. Team Members must already be a postsecondary undergraduate, graduate student, or planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the 2022-23 school year.
To qualify for either of the Leadership Scholarships, Team Members must have at least a 2.5 minimum cumulative grade point average. To qualify for the True Inspiration Scholarship, Team Members must show demonstrated financial need and have at least a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA. A full transcript containing the Team Member’s name, school name, GPA and credit hours for each class must be uploaded with the application.
More eligibility information will be available in the toolkits.
