5-Year Anniversary

Hello family,

Today is my 5th Anniversary at Chick-fil-A. I remember coming to the restaurant for the first day, not really knowing what to expect. Speed of service on the FIRST night was 22 minutes! When I walked in, I noticed that the restaurant was pretty dirty and got a phone call letting me know that a Food Safety score was coming out and it would be a 10, the worst possible score.

I had my work cut out for myself! I needed to increase sales, bring food safety to elite (1), work on speed of service, quality, cleanliness, and hire new team members with servant hearts! So, I started to come in at 6am and leaving at 1am every day, 6 days a week for 8 months! I was working on fries, machines, taking orders upfront, running food, paying bills, interviewing, hiring, ordering uniforms, doing payroll, etc.
Looking back, I saw the hand of Lord on everything, from bringing the right people to be part of our organization to bringing guests to increase our sales. It has been an amazing ride, very tough, but incredibly rewarding!

In these 5 years, we have been able to almost triple our sales, having amazing people working in our team, great leaders, we have been Elite (1) in Food Safety in the last 8 quarters and the last 2 of them we had perfect scores (zero violations), speed of service in June (total transactions of 33,693 orders) was 3 minutes and 41 seconds, we won the Symbol Award twice in the last 4 full years, and we have one of the best numbers in the entire Central Florida market.

I’ve learned that if you always put the Lord first in your life, work, family…. If you focus on your goal, work really hard, be different, make a difference where you are, shine your light, help others around you to grow, be creative, positive, you will succeed! Things won’t always be great, but keep your focus on your goal, don’t let the “noise” around you to stop you!

I’m grateful for each one who came before you and I’m grateful for each one of you for helping make Chick-fil-A Kissimmee what it is today! You are part of it! You are part of our family! You are part of our story! YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
